Using the web makes crisis management simpler

Our clients benefit from our experience in creating custom built web based software to assist them in managing key documents and processes related to oil spill response management.

Our first installation in 1999 has grown to become a comprehensive knowledge management system, which brings together modules focused on incident management, equipment availability and sensitivity mapping.

Our Incident Management System (IMS) provides crucial information in times of need. Shifts in staff movement often mean that organisational learning is lost. The IMS module ensures that all policies and procedures are well documented in a simple and accessible format. The system is secure and personalised which means that each member of your organisation has quick access to information relevant to his/her position in your oil spill management organization.

The modules come complete with a password protected administration section where designated personnel can update information on a real time basis.

An equipment database simplifies managing resources

Invariably resources are limited – knowing where each piece of equipment is, and what its current state of repair is, can simplify response times and processes.

Our database can be used to list all available equipment (whether your own, that of partners or resources owned by an external third party) and help the user find the right tool for the job, quickly. To simplify the decision process, each item is documented with both a fact sheet and a photograph.

Geographical Information System sensitivity mapping helps identify focus areas

Knowing which areas are most environmentally and socially-economically sensitive to oil spill pollution is vital to ensure that you focus your resources where they are needed.

Based on ArcView, the international leaders in GIS software, our solution makes it simple for a non-expert to access all the data they need to make informed decisions, quickly.

Ongoing product development

Software development is an organic process. We continue to invest in refining our web-based toolkit to ensure that our solutions meet the evolving needs of our clients.

We are well poised to both modify our existing software, or if need be, create new software from scratch, to ensure that our clients have all the tools they need to prepare for and respond to oil spill incidents as effectively and efficiently as possible.
