Jean-Yves HUET is a Civil Engineer by training and moved to the oil spill preparedness and response world in 1985.  He has attended over thirty oil spill incidents worldwide.

He worked for five years at the French Centre for Study, Research, Experimentation and Documentation on Oil Spills (CEDRE), where he gained practical and technical experience.

This was followed by five years at the International Tanker Owners Pollution Federation (ITOPF), where he acquired significant experience in oil spill response worldwide.

In 1995, he formed OTRA, taking his skills and experience into the private sector. Under his direction, OTRA has grown to be a well-respected company, with a significant client base, and meaningful partnerships.

Lindsay Page-Jones prepared a PhD in coastal management and marine geology, at the European Institute of the Sea (IUEM), in the University of Brest, France.

During his masters, he worked for 8 months at Cedre, on methodological issues for oil spill sensitivity mapping, and time of persistence of oil onshore in relation with the "How Clean is Clean" issue for the French authorities.

Christophe CARRIE is an environmentalist, with high GIS qualification. He has a master in bio-ecology, a master in coastal geography with GIS specialization, and a superior degree in Coastal Zone Management, obtained at the European Institute of the Sea (IUEM) - University of Brest, France.

He has participated in GIS development and environmental management for SOGREAH (in Nantes ), ADEUPA (in Brest ) and for Naturalist Group (in Orléans).
